Seahawks Free Agency Wish List

Seahawks Free Agency Wish List

Seahawks Free Agency Wish List:

FS: Xavier Mckinny or Geno Stone

After releasing both Quandre Diggs and Jamal Adams in free agency, the Seahawks safety room is looking really bare. Julian Love is the only starting caliber player they have at the position, and they need to find a free safety to pair with him. Luckily, they have 2 really good options. Xavier McKinny was a second round draft pick out of Alabama in 2020, and has been an anchor of that NY Giants defense for the last 4 seasons. Geno Stone had a breakout season playing in Mike McDonald’s defense last year in Baltimore, so following McDonald to Seattle would make a lot of sense.

EDGE: Josh Uche

Last year when Uchena Nwosu went down, Seattle tried to make a deal with the Patriots for edge rusher Josh Uche. Now that Uche is a free agent, I expect John Schneider to make another push for him. Highly productive player who fits the mold of our defense. Uche, Nwosu, and Boye Mafe would be a great trio of pash rushers moving forward.

ILB: Frankie Luvu

Bobby Wagner has got to retire - he’s in the running for greatest Seahawk ever, but the man is cooked. The Seahawks need to get some fresh blood in there at inside linebacker, especially if they’re going to stay in a 3-4 scheme. The need for inside backer gets even more dire when you consider that Jordyn Brooks could leave in free agency. I hope we re-sign brooks, but even if we do, I think we need an upgrade at the position.

C: Connor Williams

This is the move I do not expect the Seahawks to make, but I hope they do. Seattle has needed a high-quality center for so long. They got quality snaps from Evan Brown last year, but he works better as a guard. Jackson Powers-Johnson is the top center in the draft out of Oregon, and I think the Seahawks could flirt with taking him in the first round, but obviously that’s not guaranteed. I think signing Connor Williams from Miami would be a huge step in solidifying the interior of their offensive line.

Resign: Leonard Williams, Jordyn Brooks, Noah Fant
