Draft Prospect: Rome Odunze
Rome Odunze - WR, Washington (WR2)
6’3, 215 lbs, 4.37 40 yard dash
Traits: He’s really the whole package. Speedy, gets separation, catches everything, ran a variety of routes in Ryan Grubb’s offense, and above all he’s a big play receiver. Penix went to this guy on a key 3rd or 4th down anytime he could last year because Odunze was the most reliable target in football. Unbelievable in contested catch situations. Contested catch percentage was 67.7%. Caught 9 of 14 contested catches on deep throws. Boxes out defenders and wins at the catch point. Uses his ludicrous body control to make catches in the air and away from his frame. Super deep bag - elite at vertical routes and underneath routes like screens because of his ability to find soft spots in zone coverage.
Player Comps: Mike Evans, Davante Adams, Courtland Sutton
